JUNE THROUGH AUGUST - We meet in the choir room every Monday.

The Sweatshop Sorority hosted the Glendale High School District Multiple Disabilities Class. The ladies in the sorority sewed new clothing protectors for the children and each child was given a colorful book mark. Their photo is above.

The Sweatshop Sorority sisterhood makes quilts and other useful items to be sold or given away to shut-ins or charities. A special way to spend a morning out of the heat of summer is to be with our crafty, sweet ladies at Sweat Shop, which is held in the choir room each Monday morning at 8:30. We appreciate summer project time since we do not need to share the choir room with anyone. It is helpful to just close the door and leave all our mess, whether it is from making quilts or making Christmas-box trees (which are so popular). Many ladies store supplies and process projects out of their homes during other months. The attendance at our sessions remains very consistent.

We have a wonderful new addition to our group, Sandy Lawrence, a good friend of Sue Dawson. She has her own church but has done a lot of the sewing machine work for us each week, working on quilts .Speaking of machines, we could really use another sewing machine. If anyone has one they are not using, please consider allowing us to use it or donating it to us. Thank you.

SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY - We meet in the choir room on the first and third Mondays of the month at 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

JUNE THROUGH AUGUST - We meet in the choir room every Monday.

We are always in need of fabric, batting and craft supplies. We collect boxes smaller than a Jell-o box, miniature Christmas decorations, and stryofoam sheets or packing material to make our Christmas trees for sale at the Arts & Crafts fair. Donated handcrafted items are also sold at the Arts & Crafts fair. Bring your craft projects and show your talent!

It's a privilege to work and serve with this group. Come and join in all the fun. Everyone is welcome to join us. You don't have to say all morning, but be sure you don't miss the 10:00 coffee and treats!

The Sweatshop sisters are busy making quilts and assorted craft items to be sold at the Arts & Crafts Fair. We are always looking for hand-crafted items fromt the church family.

If you have something to donate, put your name on it and bring it to the choir room or give it to Bonnie.
