Our Six Member Missions Board's goal is to prayerfully, knowledgeably and wisely choose organizations to receive disbursements, quarterly. As Board Members we strive to find and answer the greatest needs in our community.
Board Members research the function of those groups, communicating the findings to the Board and congregation by written or verbal report.
The Mission Board met on Feb. 13th and selected the following recipients for the first quarter: Phoenix Rescue Mission (Changing Lives Center) devoted to removing women and their children from the streets into a clean, secure environment without addiction; Valley View Community Food Bank serving the working poor, unemployed and elderly, receiving up to two food boxes per month; Thirdly, Rainbow Acres serving 92 Ranchers, 18 years and older with developmental disabilities.
In addition to our quarterly disbursements we have special Holiday Offerings, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Our Easter Offering will be divided between Benevilla providing meals for homebound neighbors, rides to appts, visitations in time of grief or isolation and 6 Day Centers and Sunshine Acres assisting less fortunate children giving them a long term relationship with stable figures, preparing them for success in their adult life.
Our deepest appreciation to everyone for your generous donations and spirit making all of this possible.
